🔒Privacy Policy
How Cross Court handles your data, cookies, advertising and affiliate links.
Last updated: 11 July 2026
Who we are
Cross Court (“we”, “us”) operates cross-court.org — an informational tennis website with live scores, rankings, player profiles, news, podcasts, a court finder and interactive tools. Questions? Email hello@cross-court.org.
Information we collect
- Usage & device data — like most sites, our hosting provider records standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) to operate and secure the service.
- Location (only with your permission) — the Court Finder asks your browser for your location to find nearby courts. It is sent to mapping services to return results and is not stored by us. You can search by city instead.
- Preferences — feature and display settings are saved in your browser’s local storage, on your device only.
- We do not run user accounts and do not ask for your name, email or payment details.
Cookies & advertising
We may display ads through Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.
- Google’s advertising cookies enable it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to our site and/or other sites on the Internet.
- You can opt out of personalised advertising at Google Ads Settings, or opt out of some third-party vendors at aboutads.info.
- If you are in the EEA, UK or Switzerland, we request your consent for ad and cookie personalisation through a consent banner before such cookies are set.
Affiliate links
Some gear links (Amazon, Tennis Warehouse) and ticket links (StubHub) are affiliate links. If you buy through them, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. These merchants may set their own cookies.
Third-party services
We rely on: Google AdSense (advertising), ESPN (live scores & news data), OpenStreetMap / Nominatim / BigDataCloud (court-finder mapping), and the affiliate merchants above. Their handling of your data is governed by their own privacy policies.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (e.g. GDPR in the EEA/UK, CCPA in California) you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal data and to opt out of personalised ads. As we don’t maintain accounts, most control is exercised through your browser (clearing cookies / local storage) and the ad-settings links above. Contact us for any request.
Children
Cross Court is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time; the “last updated” date above will change accordingly.
